The Kingdom of Back is my favorite book. I’m 9 years old.

This is crazy scary

Red rising was in the works but abandoned. All I'm saying is that the book sucks. Who bilds an angel, futuristic, galactic world and then smashes it back to Roman Empire and still try too keep the futuristic part. I mean sure if he hade made time travel and should change the past somehow. The book is one of the worst books I have ever read. He's a good writer don't get me wrong but je destroyed a perfectly made scenario and then destroyed it.

I read this while on my flight to Bucharest. It was incredible to be able to see all of the places where the revolution took place (already on my itinerary) after having read about it in the novel. It brought more meaning to it all. The book inspired me as well to go to Sălăjan to see Cristian's neighborhood and just wander. Not much there besides the apartment blocks the characters live in, but then again, if you read the book, it helps you to take it all in. Additionally, the locals running the restaurants in the neighborhood were very excited to have a foreign tourist visiting and dining there (so support the businesses in Cristi's neighborhood!). I would have loved this book anyways as a good read, but I think it is an essential one if you are going to visit Bucharest.
